The charity, ICUSteps, approached me to create a prototype “digital” patient diary to replace their current paper version with the intention to look to secure further funding.

Approach

A mobile app that allows friends, families and loved ones of those that are currently in an Intensive Care Unit, to post diary entries for the patient to reflect on during their recovery needs to be simple and easy to use. Replicating the current paper version ease of use was going to be a tough task, but a clean design language coupled with strong features – such as the addition of audio and visual recording and weather, were implemented to create a feature rich experience.
